ONTO THE NEXT ONE.... TRYPTYCH (fastest 3 weeks of my life!)

A day in between and not a minute to spare! We were off on our research for the next project (Tryptych) which is a group of designers, branders and managers who come together to form collection and a 3D installation for the show.

I really enjoyed this project, some people worked well and others didn't but you just have to get on with things.

We had Flevoland as our chosen area and the Cities we visited were Emerloord, Almere and Lelystad. Not the most interesting of cities as you'll know if you've visited them! But we made the most of it and really focussed on the positive sides of these cities, such as that they were eerie yet mysterious, the population was scarce but of a young age group so it had room for development. And, although there was not a great deal of colour, there still was colour, and used this in out garments by toning down so the colours were more pastel.

Colour palette:

The concept was to involve the 5 senses within the installation and the garments this is because when we arrived at the cities you really engaged yourself with your senses as you had to listen out for things, and look around. We used this in the clothing by installing a digital device that we could install our own sound to so when the wearer or a viewer of the garment touched the wire and the clothing, it would create a full circuit and therefore create a sound. This was a great idea, had we not have been situated right next to the speakers! Ah well.... the teachers like it none-the-less!

Within the installation we had a big 'wrecking ball' .. i guess you could call it, with would be made from rubber gloves and invite the viewers to feel it as the gloves were stuffed with different things such as jelly and stuffing. Another wall was made from glow in the dark puffy ink and this was also inviting to touch for the viewers. You get the gist, we wanted our viewers to engage their senses within the installation.

And here it is!

For the Logo we decided on the name "TONE" as it was about sound, and we were keen on the name having only 1 syllable because it is short snappy and to the point.
Various Logo's were made in order to decide on one..

BUSINESS CARDS!!! We had to make business cards as we worked as a small business to try and sell our brand to the 15+ tutors who would potentially invest in the business..

As well as advertising ourselves through word of mouth, also wanted to create an online presence...

And of course advertising the show to get people to come and see our hard work in the small 3 weeks we had to do this project in!
